Götz Rogge – audio-visual artist and author of film-documentation Born in Berlin, played Alto-Saxofone in his youth and was involved as an actor for German Public Radio from age seven. After high-school work as camera-assistent for German Television ARD and in filmproductions at the department of TV and Film at the University Munich. During four years in New York City for his studies in the field of documentary film with Maysles Brothers, Michael Blackwood and Columbia Artists involvement in topics of contemporary art, dance-choreography, japanese architecture (i.e. Bill T.Jones, Kazuo Ohno, Frank Gery, Tadao Ando, Claudio Abbado, The Lounge Lizards) as camera- and editing-assistent, sound-editor and chief of translation dubbing – four journeys to Japan. Music-videos with Spring&Jurgensen (i.e. J.G.Thirlwell aka Foetus). From 1990 first steps into the performing arts. With "Ambulant Cinema" projections of film and slide-photography in collaborations with action-street-theater group "Generic Vapeur" of Marseille, France, machine-desater group "Survival Research Laboratories" of San Franzisco and Butoh dancer Kim Itoh of Tokio, Japan. After the fall of the Berlin Wall relocated again in that city on a search of an unknown family history with extended visits to the eastern-european countries. Occupation as an author for documentary- and children-films and assistent-director for German Television, ARTE, ARD + ZDF. At the same time intensified exchange with the young szene of Berlin in the fields of electronic, improvised and new contemporary music (i.e. Stephan Mathieu, Ignaz Schick). The definition and documentation of spaces and paths in music disembogued into the collaboration with the composer and guitar-palyer Olaf Rupp; diverse concepts of "accustic entropy", CD publications, concerts, installations. Since 2000 Götz Rogge exhibits installations of audio-visual art (i.e. "FRAKTALE", Berlin, Roman-Germanic Museum, Cologne) and continually performes stage-projections with the aid of computer technology for dance and music (i.e. Sun Ra Arkestra, Alan Silva, Egberto Gismonti, Henry Grimes, Keiji Haino, Pierre Favre, Sainkho Namtschilak, Folkwang Dance Department). In 2006 he was curator and artistic director in the department of „Wilderness + Art“ at the virgin forest Saarbrücken, and initiated the works of the large size Camera Obscura. Anschließend vierjähriger Aufenthalt in New York City, Beschäftigungen mit Schwerpunkt Film-Dokumentation bei Maysles Brothers, Michael Blackwood und Columbia Artists in Genres zeitgenössischer Kunst, Tanzchoreographie, Architektur und Musik (u.a. Bill T.Jones, Kazuo Ohno, Frank Gery, Tadao Ando, Claudio Abbado, Mstislaw Rostropowitsch, The Lounge Lizards) als Kamera- und Schnittassistent, Tonschnitt und Leitung von Übersetzungsarbeiten; vier Reisen nach Japan.
